Yeah - really

HO. MY. JEBUS. Metrocon was the shit. >< Granted, not as great as last year's. This year, us con-goers were forced to share the convention center space with people coming to see the Red Bull Flutag in Tampa. I have NEVER seen so many people at once. O____O The convention center was choked with a mixture of anime convention goers and flutag watchers, a.k.a. the "Geeks" vs. the "Normies." I'm not saying everyone of them was like this, but a lot of them were quite rude to those who were attending the con. The Florida heat and booze was probably a contributing factor for them, but the last day was a victory day for those of us attending Metrocon - we were free of the annoying flutag people. DDx The second showing of the Avatar Fight Show was pushed out of the room they were supposed to use and forced to preform in the halls. It was still amazing and Cutting Edge Entertainment was astounding during the fight show and the Fire Nation Show afterwards. (I have videos and pictures of both, btw.)
My only objection with this year (aside from the fact that the Red Bull event was slated for the same weekend as the convention) was purely emotional. This year I went to the convention with a lot of baggage, and I'm not talking about my luggage. I was in a great deal of emotional distress from family issues, financial issues, and the passing of a friend a while back. I had a little break down on the first day, especially when I couldn't find any of the friends I went to the con with. For most of the first day, I was wandering around the convention by myself with no access to my hotel, so I had no way to settle in and get comfortable. It was my first real anxiety attack in a long while, but things got better from there.
THE HUMAN CHESS MATCH WAS AMAZING HOMFG! I get goosebumps just thinking about it! And the convention staff told us what the theme for next year was going to be at closing ceremonies and I'm really, really excited! It'll be my first time cosplaying (I'll be dressed as Haruhara Haruko from FLCL one day and Xohkaru from the

the next) and I'm kind of nervous. I saw a lot more FLCL cosplayers this year, too, now that I think about it. << I won't spoil anything about the Chess Match here, but if you wanna see it you should hit up YouTube. My friend

has it all on video, but I don't know if she's put it up yet.
I got some souvenirs but not a lot because I only allowed myself a $100 cash budget this year. Most of my souvenirs are memories and pictures and I'm very happy with them. =^^= I didn't get any autographs this time, nor did I spend much time at any panels or signings of my favorite voice actors - I found I didn't care as much this year as I did last year. =\ I'm just not the type to go uber fan girl over certain people. (If I saw the second coming of Christ, I'd flail, though.)
SPEAKING of Jesus - there was a Jesus cosplayer there this year. xDD I got a picture of him and a Light cosplayer together and LOLed my head off - it was Jesus and "God." I'll have the pictures up as soon as I can manage them. Metrocon was a well-deserved vacation and I'm very glad I went. I'll try to have a booth next year in Artist's Alley so I'll at least have something to do aside from just wander around. =__=;; But, now that my vacation is over, it's back to the real world - and what a shocker it was. >< As soon as I got back, I was assaulted by real-world responsibilities immediately. I had to take a trip to the community college I'm attending in the fall to sort out my enrollment and financial status, as well as straighten my schedule and classes. I also have to sign myself up for the math portion of the College Placement Test so I can skip Intermediate Algebra and just take Liberal Arts - I won't need any big math classes for an art major. So, by the end of my freshman year, I'll have all my basic learning classes out of the way and I'll be able to focus on classes geared towards my major. I also have to go pick up and pay for my PC repair today once I can get a ride. @__@ Then I gotta build it up again with my software and internet application. I won't put as much on it this time as I did last time.
The end for now. =w= <333
| FEATURES |
I'm having an anime-artist feature theme! :B
Mad love for this amazing artist from Japan:

Her art is amazing and conceptual, and her colors are stunning. I was never much a fan of cutsie anime type until I found her - she makes anime so sweet, it's nearly diabetic just looking at it. <333

Another amazing anime-style artist is

Her style is very conceptual, colorful, and clean, some of the major points in anime art that I love the most.

More features later. =w=; I'm lazy and I can't decide who else to feature. <333 LOVE TO ALL!
